Make it Monday Dry Brushing~ PTI

I have two projects that are made with the technique of dry brushing with acrylic paint, that is featured on Nichole Heady of PTI’s blog. It is a technique demonstrated by the wonderfully talented Lisa Johnson and I had lots of fun making my cards!

First up… Oh and excuse the crappy picture quality, the DSLR I borrowed from my friend Kiryne ran out of battery LOL.

A baby card! I have no use for one really, but it was fun to make, I used the stork image and sentiment from PTI’s Bundle of Love set, and coloured the stork with PTI Fresh Snow ink to make him look like he is white instead of plaid lol.

I use the bunting stamps from My Minds Eye, Lost & Found Market Street set and paper-pieced the little bundle from Websters Pages Trendsetter collection paper! ^_^

You may be able to spot a sort of white script in the background, which is from Kaisercraft. I am not so found of their background stamps, they don’t seem to take detail very well! 😦

More of the dry brushing you can see here!

I will be back to post my second project soon. I am feeling all sorts of crappy from my antibiotics 😦 They are wreaking such havoc on me! Later and thank you for visiting me 🙂

  3. Great card. I love the contrast of the bright banner against the whitewashed background.
