Runway Inspired Challenge & Less is More Week 47 Just One Word Challenge + Stampalot Monochrome

I made a card that I will be entering to three challenge blogs!

First is the Runway Inspired Challenge blog featuring an inspiration image from Gareth Pugh’s collection.runway inspired challenge, gareth pugh 2012, handmade card, chevron, stripes

And the next challenge I’m entering this card for is to the Less is More challenge blog.

I’m also entering this to Stampalot Challenge’s Monochromatic challenge.

And here is my card!

With foam dimensionals I gave the top layer a little lift so you could see a peek of the black paper underneath for more stripey effect.

It was the perfect chance to break out my favourite hoarding items: washi tape and use them on a card! Seeing stripe and chevron in the manner the fabric felt, these were the two tapes I picked from my stash.

I decided to sew them on with a little cream thread, zig-zagged since we’re on the subject of clothes 😉 The ends of the washi tapes are handcut! Phew that was a little difficult as I am terrible with a pair of scissors.

Deliberately letting the ‘T’ start off from the black of the chevron as I see black-on-black use on the model in the inspiration image… Still not sure if I like the effect on a card but I think it’s pretty cool!
