Flowers in the Window Part 2

If you noticed an earlier post from today featuring the two cards here, that was a dedicated post for just one challenge that required me to show them two together. I decided to separately post the two cards for other challenges!

The pockets were die cut from waxed paper using PTI’s Seed Packet Die and had the tops chopped off with a PTI die (forgot the actual name but it’s supposed to mimic the look of pinking shears) so that they looked like mini glassine bags! I thought it looked a little gray so I have unintentionally created something to complete a colour challenge from CR84FN:

I stamped the shipping tag pull out with some flowers from the same Hero Arts set and added a heart with some foam dimensionals for extra fun! Plus, now I’ve met requirements for Make My Monday’s Hearts and Flowers challenge!

To meet requirements for the Sundae Bar challenge over at Paper Sundaes challenge blog, I added pearls to both of the cards and they both have cream! So that’s three ‘toppings’ I met: Pearls, Cream, Distressed! Yay! Actually, this is also some sort of blue, isn’t it? Won’t that make me meet all four toppings? ^_^;

Thank you for visiting!! xx Stephinka

Memento marker stamping and lots of florals!

I have two cards here to share with you all today! And they are the same, just different colours to meet the challenge criteria for the City Crafter Challenge Blog challenge to make ‘A Perfect Pair’! I will be reposting these cards to enter for other challenges and this is a dedicated post just for my City Crafter Challenge.

The flower and leaves stamps are from Hero Arts, and I had to hand cut them for these cards. Before I did that, I coloured the stamp itself with Memento waterbased markers and spritzed it with some Perfect Pearls Mist so it is a wee bit shimmery but only when you look up close!

Adhered the ‘glassine’ pockets to the two different colour mats and attached them to a cream card base which was then distressed with some PTI Vintage Touch dye ink..

I used shipping tags for the ‘pull out’ and stamped the smallest flowers from the same HA stamp set

MIM #33 Try 2 and more cards!

I just had to give the MIM another go- I love this technique! It’s so easy and the effects are just so soft and pretty 🙂

I used Harvest Berries from Papertrey Ink for the first time since I received them… proud of myself for inking it up finally 😉 The sentiment is from Year of Flowers: Gladiolus.

I also made a baby card with Hanging Out- this is my first and last time using this set unfortunately… Baby cards just aren’t my style I think, so today they are going out to the post office to be sent out to their new owner in Australia ^^

Birds on clothesline are usually bad news, but Little Bitty Bird is so adorable here, I just had to add him ^_^

Something else I’ve been working on is a gratitude journal… using well, the Gratitude Journal set!

I sew together a little A2 sized booklet with pages of notebook paper… music sheet paper…

And some projects that I’ve not posted!

Phew, big post!! Thanks for visiting! Leave me a comment, I’d love to visit you too 🙂 Hugs to all!

MIM #33: Frosted Images

I’m really inspired by Lisa Johnson’s latest Make it Monday on Papertrey Ink, that I broke out my stamps and went to work! I usually wait till the end of challenges to get crackin’ so you know we’re on to something here lol

Supplies:

Ripe Avocado CS (PTI); Fresh Snow ink (PTI); Scattered Straw, Shabby Shutters, Stormy Sky, Antique Linen Distress inks (Ranger); Daydreamer, Larger Than Life stamps (PTI)

Thank you for visiting! I hope everyone is having a great day!

MIM #32: Stamping with Acrylic Paint Part 3

This is the first project I made with my stamp from PTI, A Little Argyle-  I think it is SOOOO adorable but I had no idea how to use it 😐 Turns out it looks quite nice all distressed looking from stamping with almost-dry white acrylic paint LOL!

I added some Stickles to the polka dots on the brolly to liven in up. I really do like that pink ink (it is Versacolor in Opera Pink) Very close to Raspberry Fizz from PTI, a colour that I just ADORE. Anyway thanks for visiting ❤

MIM #32: Stamping with Acrylic Paint Part 2 + Patterned Paper Challenge

For this card I used the same PP as in the previous because I just love the combo of that sunshiney yellow and the blue!! I’m also using this card as my entry for the Papertrey Princess challenge to use two patterned papers, set by the awesome Princess Leigh!

Supplies:

CS: Spring Moss (PTI); wood veneer heart (Studio Calico); White glitter (Doodlebug);  Scattered Straw and Vintage Photo Distress Inks (Ranger); Lace punch (SU!)

Make it Monday: Glitter Borders!

Omg… I am going to use the most horrible photos taken with my phone here as I am running LATE!!! So please, bear with me for one post ^_^Pah! What a crappy photo!!! Anyway the special thing about this card is that I used samples of laminates for furniture (they are the squares!) that I took from my dad’s workplace that they didn’t need anymore! Fun! I’ve been embossing on them with white embossing powder and I couldn’t think of a better die to use for the glitter so I used Half & Half as demonstrated!

I promise the next post will have proper pictures! Have to run now 🙂
