I chanced upon this blog called the Flashback Friday Challenge, and the current challenge is to post the first black & white card you have ever made… That’s easy- I’ve only ever made one only B&W card and this is it:
I had originally made it for the Runway Inspired Challenge Blog just back in January this year, and my original post is here… And I have already given this card away to my psychiatrist who has proudly displayed it in his office 😀 Soon after that, he asked to see what other cards I have made that are Valentine’s/Love related, and he bought two to give to his wife. Thought that was a cute story to share 🙂
In other news, I’ve been re-organising my crafty stuff like there’s no tomorrow.. I’ve got new storage drawers, new folders for my stamps, new die storage system and I’ve been getting my Evernote set up to list my inventory and cards for inspirations under pages I made for specific stamps. It’s definitely slightly crazy around here! But I might show you all some photos of how I store my stuff when I am done. If I ever get done. LOL.
Have a wonderful day! xx Stephinka
Made a card based on the colours in this image:
Red.. Sage green and cream.. Sounds lovely and lets me get back into the CAS loop 🙂
Embossed with a die used and impression plate to create this… I do so love the texture this creates very much.
Finished with a little seam binding ribbon bow, trinket pin with a tea-stained tag, stamped with ‘Thanks” as the sentiment… All in all, just a very clean design!
Thank you for viewing! I appreciate all your comments! Stephinka xx

For this post I have made a card based on a colour combo from CR84FN:
And using a die cut negative I created a coloured silhouette of sorts:
…and finished off with a Thank You sentiment from the Star Prints set (PTI)

My third post today… I think everyone is sick of me by now, right? LOL. That’s okay, I’m sick of myself too… Sometimes blogging really just takes up so much time! But, I only do this for your comments 😉 Just kidding.
Starting with a piece of plain white cardstock, I began to stamp out the background. Yep- that ‘patterned paper’ was all me! Even I’m proud of myself that I didn’t make too huge of a booboo out of it.
I distressed the edges with Distress Ink and then with a distressing tool thingy. This green ribbon here I had saved up from… Goodness knows when, but it was when someone gave me an Origins gift set some time back, way back when I didn’t do papercrafting or anything of the sort. You see, I was already drawn to grosgrain ribbon! It was destiny.
Added some sparkle with some stickles! Mmm multicoloured glitter sparkles….
Something new: I received my new Spellbinders Labels 18 (which are wonderful) and embossed it in a lux gold 🙂 And then I wanted to put some gold pearls. And then I ran into a problem, you see, I only have the white/cream ones! D’oh!!! So, being quick-witted and all (ha!)….
Top Tip: Don’t have the right colour pearls or bling? I know, everyone’s heard that you can use Copics to colour them but I live in a cave and don’t use Copics so I did what any other sane person would do, which is to PAINT the pearls! Here, I used my Adirondack Metallic Gold Acrylic Paint dabber and just pounce the dabber onto the pearls, aim a heat gun because I have no patience like that, et voila!!!!!
All right, I’m done being chatty. Thank you so much for visiting my blog. Huggles for all and have a great crafty day! xx Stephinka

As I wrote a few posts down, I was hospitalised for a short while… And I made this card that I am going to be sending out to the staff and nurses in the ward I was staying in to thank them for taking such great care of me 🙂 It so happens I used birds (pertains to the Make My Monday Week 33 challenge + Penny’s Paper-Crafy Challenge #70) and it is a CAS card (for the Young Crafters Unite Challenge 5 calling for CAS cards)
The nurses were so kind to me- they got to know me on a first name basis quickly and learned that I liked my Milo (a chocolate malt drink- I don’t think it’s very popular in the US!) with extra Milo powder so that it’s all rich and thick!
I have to say it makes me a little happy inside to know that this card will be pinned to the board of Thank You cards 🙂 I hope they will all have a great new year!
Thank you for visiting my blog! Your comments mean so much to me, and I will be sure to visit if you leave your URL! xx Stephinka
