I chanced upon this blog called the Flashback Friday Challenge, and the current challenge is to post the first black & white card you have ever made… That’s easy- I’ve only ever made one only B&W card and this is it:
I had originally made it for the Runway Inspired Challenge Blog just back in January this year, and my original post is here… And I have already given this card away to my psychiatrist who has proudly displayed it in his office 😀 Soon after that, he asked to see what other cards I have made that are Valentine’s/Love related, and he bought two to give to his wife. Thought that was a cute story to share 🙂
In other news, I’ve been re-organising my crafty stuff like there’s no tomorrow.. I’ve got new storage drawers, new folders for my stamps, new die storage system and I’ve been getting my Evernote set up to list my inventory and cards for inspirations under pages I made for specific stamps. It’s definitely slightly crazy around here! But I might show you all some photos of how I store my stuff when I am done. If I ever get done. LOL.
Have a wonderful day! xx Stephinka
I made a fussy cut card!!! Shocker! I’m nearly blind now though, makes me wonder how people do it regularly!
Using the Sugar Rush stamp set from Paper Smooches Stamps (which has never seen ink until today), I made this saccharine sweet card. I’m having a pink overload day!
Everything was first stamped onto various Doodlebug Sweet Cakes patterned paper and then coloured in some areas with Memento markers before being cut out. I added some glitter to the lollipop and cupcake but it isn’t very visible 😥 At least the liquid pearls on the ice cream is! I’m loving the twine Doodlebug has out- it’s all pink and red and Valentine’s colours… I used the pink and grey here!
Just to show that the ice cream has some dimensional foam behind it to add some fun to the card! Also, I got to use some washi tape in this project! So proud of myself for finally stop hoarding and using stuff lol.
I also stamped the bottom with some polka dots from PTI stamps using some Amuse ink… It’s such a pretty and light pink colour 🙂
Also, I just linked up to a Moxie Fab World Die Cutting Challenge with the wrong URL so I’m going to paste the card from my previous post here- Sorry about that!!
Before I go, I just want to share some pics of what I bought at the LSS yesterday! (paper pads and some AC cardstock not pictured!)
Aren’t they adorable? I can’t wait to use them 🙂
Thanks again for visiting! Have a lovely weekend! xx Stephinka

I made a card that I will be entering to three challenge blogs!
First is the Runway Inspired Challenge blog featuring an inspiration image from Gareth Pugh’s collection.
And the next challenge I’m entering this card for is to the Less is More challenge blog.
I’m also entering this to Stampalot Challenge’s Monochromatic challenge.
And here is my card!
With foam dimensionals I gave the top layer a little lift so you could see a peek of the black paper underneath for more stripey effect.
It was the perfect chance to break out my favourite hoarding items: washi tape and use them on a card! Seeing stripe and chevron in the manner the fabric felt, these were the two tapes I picked from my stash.
I decided to sew them on with a little cream thread, zig-zagged since we’re on the subject of clothes 😉 The ends of the washi tapes are handcut! Phew that was a little difficult as I am terrible with a pair of scissors.
Deliberately letting the ‘T’ start off from the black of the chevron as I see black-on-black use on the model in the inspiration image… Still not sure if I like the effect on a card but I think it’s pretty cool!
Thank you for visiting! Commentors with blog URLS get e-candies and comment-back from me as usual :)) xx Stephinka
