The Shabby Tea Room Week 73

This week’s challenge is to use three patterned papers in the card! I was really thinking I was in trouble- Usually I only work with 2 patterned papers, and then add a little strip of plain coloured cardstock, but 3 sounded a little busy! I decided to go for it, as I needed a card to send to a PTI forum friend and this challenge was just the thing I needed to kick my bum into action.

And voila!!! I used papers from Crate Paper Emma’s Shoppe collection, which I have been hoarding 🙂

The embossed frame is from Crafty Secrets, but they are sent to me in a package by the sweet Viola Mahr when we did a little swap 🙂 I inked up the raised parts of the frame and heat-embossed it to make it stand out a little more, and rubbed some Colorbox Creamy Brown chalk ink along the sides to distress it.

The crochet flower is from a dollar store and the satin posy is something that I also sell in my store here, and the pin I made myself- also in the shop!

Other supplies:

Ink- Memento Tuxedo Black; Dies- PTI button card die; CS- Bazzill basics Kraft; Stamps- PTI Mega Mixed Messages

Before I go, just wanted to share a final set of cards I made today:

I love them! 😀 They have no sentiments, so they can be used for just about anything!

Supplies used:

‘Vintage’ book paper (from a Harry Potter book! LOL Yes I am horrible; did anyone spot ‘Ron’? :D); PTI Half and Half dies and stamp; PTI Butterfly die; PTI Take Note stamps; Doily and tag stamps- MME; dotted line stamps- Hero Arts, Ink/etc: Studio Calico Mister Huey in Clover, Memento Tuxedo Black, Jenni Bowlin Chewing Gum ink, Ranger Ultra Fine embossing powder, Versamark, MT washi tape, SU! scallop punch, cotton twine, manila tag

Thank you for visiting 🙂

  3. These are just beautiful! I especially love the stitching on the “thanks” card. It adds so much texture!

  4. You did a great job on the shabby card. Love the yellow pattern paper with the flowers. The orange gingham pulls out the orange from the flowers. Great stitching on your cards to0! So straight!

  5. You did a great job! I am always a little hesitant to use multiple print papers as well! So fun and cute!
